I think this was a sad way to plug that site. Really just add the url to a sig and be done. This is a bit much.

Thanks

I couldn´t find a viable option to choose.

The mod really have to start modding and act strongly against people that don´t do other stuff then insulting people.

Name calling and such. That this kind of topic can exist in this forum is beyond me really.

The thing is the language used in this forum makes you respond in the same way really. I would guess that people who are just guests in this forum have to wonder what kind of maniacs there is in this forum.

I like them modifiying things. If you think back to that time when you pressed 'I Agree', then they have the right to remove, change or edit any post. After all, this is an official ubi site.

Admins, you guys are doing a really fair and awesome job. Thanks for all that you guys do and you all should get a raise.

I didnt start this thread to plug any site or to flame any moderators. I think that sometimes they dont let this just be a community. Like what is the point of locking the Val in a swimsuit thread? Just move it to OT.

Absolutely 100% proper in their work on these boards. I have no interest or wish to see the name calling and childish rants that can happen take place on this board. I have been lurking here for quite a while but this is my first post. I even think that the mods have been a little lax in removing some of the posts. Cheers to a good job and hope they will continue to do so.

I agree. I think the mods here are very reasonable folks. I think that they are too nice sometimes and let some ugly things go. I don't think they abuse their powers at all. Keep up the good work mods.

I wish they would just dump all the flame*****s and trolls who contribute nothing but sure make a lot of "Look at ME!!! Let me tell you what I won't tolerate now!" posts... but the obviously can't in the interest of fairness. That said you whiners are getting off VERY EASY right now so I wouldn't complain... oh wait, you're not here to do anything but complain... silly me... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yay can I get a raise from nothing to...nothing?

Since this post was started, i'll jump on my soapbox... muahahaha

In case you are not aware, the moderators of this forum are volunteers. We are here to enforce the rules set forth by UBI.

Now, personally speaking, I will NOT tolerate any sort of flaming or trolling. It does nothing to the board but contribute to the negativity.

I would like this board to be a place where the community can gather, and post, without fear of being ridiculed or harassed by their peers. THAT, my friends, is the reason I am so strict with my pink edit marker when it comes to flaming.

That being said, as long as you don't flame and follow the rules, you will not be "modded". http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

*steps off of soap box*

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program. Oh, and i'm moving this to Off Topic since it IS Off Topic http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Mk, we've all seen that sequence in the game, those shots have been posted allready more then a few times here, so there is no point in keeping such a thread either. The pics were posted, fine, you can still go see them, it's not like they were deleted. So why do you keep complaining about that one in almost every single post you've made since i locked it? If you find this issue that important, then by all means do PT me. Nuff said

I think the mod's are doing a good job. There are a few posts that slip by, but then, I've also seen the vast number of posts generated on this forum in a 24 hour period.

Oh..and the pink edits rock Kimi..adds a unique flavour to everthing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Interesting thread...like WOW..seeing this when I get home from work...hehe

It is interesting how it is titled...this way rather than "Do you think the admins (actually moderators) under use the abilities given to them?"....but I guess one wouldn't expect to see that.Sounds like someone who would start a topic titled that way might be a bit disgruntled over something...maybe not who knows..

A lot of things happen that members don't see like all the Private messages (topics) that are sent and also received by us moderators by doing our jobs. Certain things require us to get involved and take action by contacting a member and saying "Hey guy..gotta stop that" all the way to no warnings...pack your bags...bon voyage. There has actually been very few members here who have dug themselves into a hole deep enough to never be seen again.

Kimi already said we are here to enforce the rules set forth by UBI. They can also be vague at times. No one can intelligently write down in a set of rules every conceivable thing people may post or link.We as a group have to decide the rest...and of course the members who get angry at the moderators are the ones who wonder why they can't post what they want. It isn't rocket science..lol

I am really not defending anyone here..seriously. We thank those who give us praise for doing what we have to do and for the others..well, sometime we hope you understand what it is like to work with a community of faceless, numerous aged, multipersonalitied members whom some of want to do whatever they want. Is it a FUN job? Hardly...Is it a necessary job? yes. Think of the flame wars, spam, accusations, etc that would be here if someone didn't "police" the place.....

Im not disgruntled about anything. I think you guys are doing a good job, maybe I just read into the deleting of posts too much. I think what you guys do is great, showing youd dedication to the community more than anyone else.

I think there are a few missed altogether and a few locked that I don't believe deserve it.

This is totally in the minority and my opinion is that the job done by these people is great.

I'm really surprised more threads aren't locked, myself. But all in all I'd say they do a very good job.

Keep up the good work!

In my opinion, kimi is abusive of his/her power. Also, half the mods in the RvS forums are much more power hungry, such as Tony Two Toes; Kimi; Dayglow(though to be fair he doesnt post that much anymore if at all); and the community manager Bullet Tooth is kind of rude, but I attribute that to the flamers who have turned him into a rude flamer. Of course thats my opinion and Im sticking to it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Like i said, i seen alot go over there power before!

Some just strive on it, But so far here in Far Cry i have'nt seen it. That don't mean it's not happen though i just might of missed it!

Sad but there's really noone to watch over the dev's for when they do go alittle too far!

Sometime's its just uncalled for & other time's it is you just don't like it!

Best thing too do is just plain out obey the rules and try not too worry about it.

If you are talking about dev's = moderators, we have our community manager, who is djnogg and piranha.

If you have a problem, and have already attempted to work it out with the moderator in question and are still unsatisfied with the results, you are welcome to contact one of the community managers for assistance.

Well, IMHO the admins are very fair compared to PHL formus>(planet halflife) lol those guys are abusive... Try going there and talking about hl-2 or wutever, ur thread surely will be locked and you will get banned for smack talking to them, lol some of them like beagle have 14,000+ post I guess they think ther kewl having so many post, and if ur post count is low ur a noob that is now banned...Its very sad that phl has come to that, use to be a good place to hang out and chat..I guess since Valve has let down the community with the delays noone really cares....Far Cry has a chance to really grow so does this formu,it will be very intersting to see how everything plays with the much anticipating (SDK) & (patches)........gg

i think the mods here are some of the nicest mods ive come in contact with. ive been to other forums (PHL and PD) and the mods there are a**holes and they make fun and belittle the people who go to post there. ive never seen a problem here with the mods and they are funny as hell sometimes. thanx for doing such a great job guys, keep it up. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

i am actually going for ban immunity here.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
