Very cool action shots, and a nice mix with CoD. Perfect music for it too. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

good effort, bad movie.

01-16-2004, 04:33 PM
You could offer the guy some constructive criticism. What was bad about the movie?

01-16-2004, 06:51 PM
No need to be rude. At least tell MOH_HEATER what you think was wrong with the movie.
I believe that the idea is good, but difficult to implement. One has to create it in such a way that the audience sees the action as one single game. Probably the only ackward thing is... were there American P-51s in the battle of Stalingrad? Other than that, I enjoyed it. Very creative thought. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

TY Stecher. Had fun making it.

No story behind it, just wanted some neat actions shots with this music.

rgr that Crash...I cut the 'movie' real short! I hacked the song...and edited out alot of good stuff...

It's fine if all you like is killing and heavy metal. Not really my bag... like watching a Jean Claude Van Damme movie only worse.

Well thanks alot Heater???????

Now I'm going to have to by COD!!!!!

"good effort, bad movie."

Been gone awhile, don't miss this stuff.
On the other hand MOH_ Heater. I liked your movie. It was original, creative and action packed. Look forward to seeing more from you.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif liked it, some try to hard to make Hollywood story like films, but this was pure action... CoD implements worked like a sharm http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah good movie. This was very different but in a good way. I just watched three IL-2 movies that looked exactly the same. Too much borrowed from the other, yuck! That is why I liked this one more, it was original.

Ha! Two of my favorite games! Love how you knock the German down & empty a clip into him! :P

Great edit!

Very good job MOH_HEATER_!

Like all the action shots and the use of Metallica! The mix of COD and IL2 was very good but it will be great to have a story behind all of this, still I think you did a very good job! Wish to see more! Keep it up.

Hey Mo Heater,

Great work brother. I just watched 'One Step Back' and 'Heart of Texas'. You have a full on style of movie making.

I'd agree with the others that more of a story would be good, but as you said, that wasn't your goal.

And wicked music too.

Interesting and nicely done moving Heater.

I think more to my shock, was the "Heart of Texas" bit... that had and interesting start http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

S! Mo Heater

Watch both movies....enjoy both of them. Good Music, and not every movie needs to have a story. Lots of good action is always a good thing in my book. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Best Regards

I'd have to say: great try... I just didn't really like it... the production was excellent, and the mix between the two games was congruent, I just didn't really get into it, basically because of the soundtrack, but I guess it fits the action pretty well. Also I'd rather (when making my films) not detract from the fact that it's an air war production, but some really nice shots, i like it when the stang comes right up into the camera, some great work there. Perhaps you could do us a story-based film with a little more gentle soundtrack... one of metallicas other pieces?

Overall, well done mate, keep up the good work.

Hope to see some more from you!!

Some very cool shots and nice mix with COD. It's a shame I'm not a heavy metal fan unless its a falling 109.

Nice work.

That is what I call action my man! WOW!

Because I like too! Get a life!

Loved it! Very very different and original. You could even try sticking in clips from Return to Castle Wolfenstein to get some bizzar elements into your next movie.

I couldn't get it to run. Is the link broke?

02-28-2004, 01:10 PM
NM - got it to work. Excellent job, although speed metal isn't my cup of tea. I also liked the tie-in with COD.

02-28-2004, 07:05 PM
I must say I'm very relieved at the "take" you took in integrating CoD into your movie - I've got one in the works that does the same thing but in a very different way.

Very MTV, which ain't a bad thing at all; just different from what I'm hopefully going to pull off.

There are no "bad" FB movies, only different ones. Make more - there's room for all sorts of movies, from Scragbat's cinema quality ones to the goofy bits I make, to high paced heavy metal video's like yours....

Very clever including CoD. With that aerial fight taking part above the town you would maybe expect a ground campaign taking place also.

You used Metallica!
Have you thought of using the track 'Seek and Destroy' (or have you used it already)? Always thought that would make a nice backing to a virtual war movie. Love that riff http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Movie was cool. Just a little short but I like epics!!

One thing though is that the action on the ground seemed to have little to do with the action in the air. Would have been better if there had been some connection, made it make a little more sense.

But the action was cool, and the soundtrack fitted it nicely.

Hope ya'll check out Heart of Texas.
