Help! 15% Keep killing em and they keep coming back

Hi I'm at the central hall where you fight your father,

I dont know if I'm doing this wrong but I keep on killing the bad guys (wait untill they're unconscious on the floor and then use my dagger (E) ) and they always come back, I can kill em 3-4 times each exept the father before getting killed and they keep coming back. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

I'm using the PC version
amd 1.4 Thunder Bird
256 Ram
Radeon 8500LE

Hve pacience...
Ignore the father.... keep killing the other bad guys.
After u kill about 16 guys they'll stop respawning, then kill the daddy

Any hints on fighting (xbox version). I can kill quite a few of them, but keep getting killed. And, do I have to keep using the dagger on them? Because that (it seems) is when I keep getting killed). Thanks for the help.

That is where I gave up. Sorry can't really help you, all I can say is that I am glad I rented this game ( and it was a free rental http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) I stopped playing at that point.

If the rest of the game continues on like that, then I have no desire to keep playing it. I wasted over two hours fighting them monsters.

A game is supposed to be fun, not annoying. One or two respawns would have been reasonable.

No you are not doing anything wrong; they will keep appearing for a time, and then eventually they will stop. I do agree - that part can be frustrating to get through, and I was sorry to read one person not wanting it; don't let that part get you down too much: the game is great.

In terms of fighting tips, I posted these in a different thread on the board - basically it said this. In terms of fighting here are some things to keep in mind:

A). Blocking is very important when there are lots of enemies around you. And this fact is critical in this part of the game; the blue guys will continue to attack you, even on the ground. Blocking is key to helping you win.
B). In the section before that (courtyard) you learned the Wall attack move; Master that move well, for it will give you a slight advantage in the battle with the blue and red guys.
C). With regards to the blue guys, don't jump over their heads and such like you can w/ the red guys; won't work. The Wall Attack move, though, works wonders on them and limits the amount of strikes you have to have on them. After a while the blue guys go away and then you can focus on the King; simply strike a few times, and block when He attacks and he'll be toast.

Thank you for the assistance. One of the other tips got me thru the level and I have made it about halfway. In your post, You mentioned a wall attack that I should have learned - I didn't. and since I rented the game from Blockbuster, I don't have a manual. Could you tell me the key combination.

well if you remember in the courtyard, before you got to the main area there, you had instructions flash up - basically to do a wall attack, move towards a wall, press the jump button; the Prince will put one foot against the wall. Then press the attack button - if done correctly,the Prince will launch, sword first, straight out (and towards an opponent if the opponent is in front of him). You do not need to hold down the "Jump" button; simply press it as you near a wall w/ the stick, then press the "Attack" button. This move will help you out a ton w/ the blue guys; believe Me. I took a while to get the timing down, but now have it down pat. Good luck in the game! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

well, it took me 2-3 hours to defeat all of them, the best way to do it that u kill the red guys first and then go after blue guys, and forget about his dad, when u kill all of them try to kill his dad, and killing him is realllyyyyyyyyyyy easy, just use your sword and jump on him and hit him , really easy, it takes about 3-4 minutes to kill him thou, don't stop hitting him
