I tried to download my new game and it says that it cannot find IL2 fb on my computer. This is insane. I am fairly new to this game ,(12\26\03), but have been playing on line at ubi.com every night since. Im an addict. I need to fly a spitfire, but cant download my game. Can anyone please give me some advice. Ive already uninstalled forgotten battles 3 times to try to get it to work. I appreciate all your comments Thanks GUNSHY028

what does it do when you put in disc 1 of FB to install. Please be specific. Steve-v, Hunter 82 or some other boys can help if you provide DXDIAG

I am able to download the (il2 fb) game in its intirety, and play it all the time on line, but when i try to install the ace expansion pack, after configuring the install shield wizard, a green screen comes up with a box that says"il2 fb was not found on this computer". I am stumped. Thanks for your advice, but not that good with computers

gunshy, you have 3 threads going here (that I've spotted so far). Keep it in one thread. I'm going to lock the other two and link back to this one, please don't start any more, they're just taking up space and pushing other's problems off the front page.

In the last day or so, ive learned 2 things. 1 is nothing is never perfect, and 2 is, eventually, 1 of these fixes that everyone has offered will eventually work. Yes, 1 worked. I uninstalled the complete FB game, reinstalled it using the autorun menu, then used the autorun to install the AEP disk. Believe it or not, it worked. Thank you to whoever suggested this. As for everyone else who still has this problem... keep trying.

I've had exactly the same problem, mate. Running the installer from "Autorun" file on AEP CD solved the problem. Try it. If it doesn't work, take a look here, the similar thread is on:
