The bushes and other veggies sure look awesome up close but they kinda look a little blah from anything but a close distance -- anyone else notice this?

The vegetation looks absolutly brilliant, you must either have low end PC or just extremly high standards - higher than any other game currently out, you can knock far cry for the AI or for the game play but you definatly can't knock it for the the good quality graphics, last night i lowered all settings to low and it still look reasonabley good.
Is ther anyone else that agrees with me ???

no I have a pretty decent computer and the vegetation does look a little cartoonish from far out. but up close it looks pretty damn nice http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

TO BUSY KILLING THE THE BAD DUDE'S AND LOOKING AT THE FISHES AS THEY SWIM BY WHICH IS VERY NICE AFTER A HARD DAY OF CARNAGE.
I've noticed anisotropic filtering helps a lot..otherwise the vegetation sprites far away look a bit bland.

It's caused by Far Cry's 3D engine (CryENGINE) rendering vegetation 3D models as 2D sprites beyond a certain distance.
I've created a topic on the subject...
Vegetation "Popping" Cure / Quality Enhancement (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=170106891&m=258105964)
Hope this helps,
