well, tomorrow is the New Jersey teacher's convention, so i thought i'd go catch a movie and i was thinking about revolutions.

as usual to movie reviews on opening days, the reviews were mixed. some say it was good, some say it was bad. until more people see it, there's no way to tell if the movie is good. anyways, i was thinking about going to see it tomorrow around noon or so, and i was wondering if any of you have an opinion.

also, there's been some information about all the tickets being sold out in some areas, and i was wondering if any of you had some first hand experience to tell me if that's true.

other than that, i think i'll end up going. if it's sold out, then what to watch.... o.O

Just wait. what is the big deal about seeing it so soon. It will be out for a while so you can enjoy your first screening, the best for any film, without crowds of morons talking and carrying on.

I'll wait a while to see it, and keep my nose away from critics and reviews. they ruin the movie and also it is subjective.

Shut up when you talk to me.

I actually liked it. It took me a while, but after thinking about the ending for a bit, I found out I rather liked it.

When the going gets tough, the tough go cyclic.

i dunno, these lines will be the most memorable to me, really stuck out at me for some reason(not really a spoiler. just some lines from the movie):

Smith:

Why, Mr. Anderson?
Why do you do it?
Why get up?
Why keep fighting?
Do you believe you're fighting for something?
For more than your survival?
Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know?
Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Yes? No? Could it be for love?
Illusions, Mr. Anderson. Vagaries of perception.
The temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying to desperately justify an existence that is without meaning or purpose.
And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love.
You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson.
You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting.
Why, Mr. Anderson? Why? Why do you persist?!

oh and i loved it btw. ended just about how i expected it to.

Complete and utter garbage i thought. A dissapointing ending, not enough time in the matrix or martial arts. The Neo vs. Smith fight was a disgrace. A sucky old fight in zion which i might have enjoyed in another movie but not in the matrix. I expected something different i suppose.

Nice lines I thought too GhostFace, seems to me that Smith is more in touch with his existence than Neo is, that Neo is experiencing existential angst. But this isn't a philosophical forum, so I'll leave all that at the door.
On the whole I thought it was quite good, nice lines, but also some really poor ones.
Also, a little while ago I saw the 'making of' doco and they had the final fight scene with Neo vs Smith slowly flying upwards. On this they had retracked the sound with some dreamscape sorta music, made it awesome, grey skies, crumbling city, with semi-depressing/dreamy/surreal music.

Good to know GF, cause Im pretty sure that if you liked it I will too. I was getting a little worried there, I knew II was a big disappointment so I had high hopes for III.
