I know this sounds crazy without the first patch, but still I want to know what is the priority for the devs in their next patch. I also read the sim hq review(ya the 14 pages one). I really had a great read. So I wanted to know are the devs thinking of finishing the half completed russian bloc of air-air aircraft avionics etc.
I also read about considerations for a payable addon for this.IS it true? I just hope not. I really agree for the addition of f 18 as a PAYABlE addon.(I will definately buy it too.). But I feel that ED should upgrade the russian bloc aircraft in one of their free upcoming patches.

ANd another little question. Why can't I select the R 77 for the su 27, 33 and MOST specifically the mig 29. Can I get info on which aircraft I can use this deadly missile.

So ED, any comments?http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

The MiG-29S is the only flyable fast mover in the game with the upgraded Slot Back radar with capability to fire the R-77 (to answer your last question first).

As far as paying for addons. The only thing I've heard about paying for is add on aircraft, and I suppose an official dynamic campaign addon would probably be a pay item as well.

The patches should be free and fix all the known issues before release payware addons.

One dodgy tactic i am quite worried about is realeasing patches with the payware addons.

Pay for a patch? No thank you.
Creative Assembly done that with Medieval Total War , and the Expansion Viking Invasions.

MTW alone had bugs to be fixed but they released an expansion that solved those issues and added some new content, but never fixed up the original MTW.

...which would be the biggest blunder.
nothing against the guy who is developing the dynamic campaign system, he should financially benefit from it. UBI should buy his generator and include it in a patch.
the content that lomac came with was so pathetic in terms of missions and campaigns that making us pay for something that should have been there in the first place (content) would be adding insult to injury.
not even every flyable plane has its own campaign. they didnt even take the time to throw together some missions to keep the customer happy.

What else could Ubi do! I mean ED were in the persuit of flight sim crown for the upcoming years with this title.(And they did get it in my opinionhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif).Ubi tracking it to be the most anticipated title will surely pressure them for release after so many delays.
Hence the lack of the missions.I specifically miss uncanned missions for the su 33 and mig 29.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

However lets hope ED makes us some good free addons to make the game bugfree.
I hope Lockon becomes like windows XP.Even though win xp had bugs in the starting, now with sp1 and all the other fixes, finally Windows is the most stable OS and fastest OS I have ever worked on.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think there are valid points to be made concerning Lock On's performance and stability, but starting the old song about "they should have included a dynamic campaign" again gets on my nerve. It wasn't exactly unknown for the last few years that this was not gonna happen.

The fact that relatively new missions ship with the game is also no big deal as with that system, they and us have to rely on 3rd party work anyway, no matter if they put twice or three times the amount of missions in.

Patchs fix bugs and are free.

Upgrades and Add Ons add features and are NOT free.

I won't pay for any add-on unless it is complete. If a flyable F/A 18 is added It has to have complete A/G capabilities or it is a no sale for me. Also I would prefer to see an Apache Longbow add-on rather then another fixed wing.

Thanx for that reply Stormin.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
The question now that comes to my mind is "If you guys at ED COMPLETE improving the russian avionics and getting it on par with the attention and detail given to the first three jets i.e., f15, a10a, su 25, THEN WILL THIS BE A PAYWARE ADDON OR A FREE ADDON, becos it is just finishing off where you started.
Anyway, I understand I AM NOT a perfect a aircraft and hence even the present package of aircraft is a handfull, I am asking this after reading the simhq review.http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Excellent point, the same goes for the advanced physics/ground-handling model. OTOH I'm so dying to have those features that I would be prepared to pay 30Euros/$ for an add-on with just those two features http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

LOMAC is bloody close to what I consider a perfect sim (within its scope) that it would be a shame not to tackle these two issues and make the release version what it was really meant to be.

EDIT: Damn, this board doesn't recognize the Euro sign http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
