if they dont have it ... I wont buy it ... the game will go downhill fast.

its already been mod'd to not sway and zoom closer on sniper rifles

why not make it so the bullets are heat seeking ?

If they have it i wont buy it. I cant play on any official servers that use punkbuster because my stupid DSL device has a un removable firewall built in.

However i can play NON OFFICIAL servers.

not hard to mod single player for any game. Modding it for multiplayer is totally different.

Yesterday or so, I found this line commented out in a multiplayer script.

--Game:CreateVariable("gr_PunkBuster", 1);

Chances are, PunkBuster will at some point be included, though I can't say for certain. Just seems kind of odd they'd have a cvar for it if they didn't intend to have it.

Punk Buster is a must if people gonna play multiplayer. otherwise people will edit the files to have advantage over others.

If the game will not be using any cheat detection program i will just download the game.:P

Most games nowadays use hash comparison to validate script files when a client attempts to connect to a server. If the hash of the script does not match the hash the server has, then the client's connection is severed. Sure there are ways around this which I won't detail, however, it is some small security so it will stop those less dedicated to cheating.

At least, I certainly hope FarCry does this. Even Half-Life did as I recall.
