Dear RedStorm. I know I am not the only person who has issues with your patching system. This however still needs to be stated for the record. Your patching system is utter crap. It is confusing and is not practical at all. Every time you release a new patch, I usually wind up un-installing and re-installing, because the online server list will not update. Now with the instroduction of Athena Sword it is getting almost impossible to apply patches correctly. I have to download the entires 33 meg patch and apply from the ground up. Sure your web site provided instructions on applying the patches. However many people don't download from your site and don't know the instructions are there until after the damage is done. Fix this stuff.

your talking about ubi NOT Red Storm, there is a HUGE difference!!!

"A pungent, ghastly, stinking piece of cheese" the Roaming Gnome.

When I think of Ubi and red, firetruck comes to mind.

33 meg patch is a few minutes download. It's always better to use the 1.0 > 1.xx patch. Most issues people have is when they use the "next" patch. Reinstalling will take maybe 10 minutes... Thats 15 minutes tops.. U can read the forum in the mean time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Do you people have slow connections or not use the built in auto-updater? When a patch becomes available, you are alerted (if you are not in a server) that a new file is available. It will download, install and voilla! You are upgraded- no "issues".

I have never had an issue with upgrading patches and the new auto updater system is a fantastic thing for them to have done. Its much nicer to just click a couple of buttons and come back in a few minutes when its done doing its thing.

I've had issues with some of the patches themselves and I've skipped a few versions (i.e. I was at 1.4 for a while) but overall its good. Athena Sword addressed my largest problem with the game concering the ability of the AI terrorists on various levels. I'm very happy with that...there are other slightly less pressing (but still important) issues that I'd love to have resolved (and I don't think any of these have been yet) including the problems with FSAA and NVG on some types of cards (mostly ATI), the sound of the M4 (which is crossed with the M14 - it'd be nice to have its own unique sound), and potentially a few fixes to the operative AI so that they better cover the area that you're in (they do this to some extent but often times they don't seem to hear the terrorist who just yelled alarm and opened fire).

Overall I like this game and things are getting fixed and frankly the new patching system works quite well.
