then... i tried to install it again and my computer froze.
then i turned it back on and it had the raven shield icon on my desktop and i clicked it and it said "video card not supported" now i dont know what to do. can someone PLEASE help me?

Sounds like you are having some sound driver issues. You should start by going to your sound cards website and getting the latest drivers. After you get that straightened out, you may need to uninstall and reinstall RvS! Good luck.

what do you mean driver website?

Create two folders on your desktop. Put in CD1 and explore the disk. Now copy and paste it in one of the folders on the desktop. Now insert CD2 into your drive and copy and paste the contents of it to the OTHER folder. Now open the folder where you have CD1 contents at and double click on the Autorun icon. See if that helps. If you want to know what sound card you have, click Start then select run, type dxdiag and hit enter. Click on the Sound tab and it will tell you what you have. If it's Realtek, for example, go to Realtek's website and download the latest drivers for it, reboot and see if that helps.

ok, i have this problem occasinally when i install my game, just cancel the install and try again, making sure you switch the disks out quickly. It's pretty much trying to find the sound files which are first on disk 2 in order to install them, but it's unable to. Try wiping the disk off first, or making sure the drive selected is the correct drive the disk is in.

really has nothing to do with system specs, its just getting the computer to read the disk correctly. Like I said, I get the issue occasionally, but it's fixed by cleaning the disk and trying again.

yup sounds like its to weak or cant handle 3d games or whatever. Anyway a new video card for you, also look into a proc mobo ram upgrade cause thats what this game takes to get good fps during firefights, or so Ive read.

You need to get a board that can do t&l (transform and light), which most likely your current card can not do, look at your "view system information" and click on the "device manager" and then click on the "display adapter" and underneath should appear you current onboard/pci/agp video processor.......either do a search your self to find out if it is/is not able to meet the requirements of this game..or possibly someone here will know and tell you.

There is a list of supported video cards somewhere, I cannot remember where. Maybe Gamespot, but don't take my word for it. The oldest supported is the early Radeon series and Geforce 2 TI series, made maybe about 3 years ago. Your computer may have an integrated video chip or some crappy 32mb card. Definitely upgrade if you want to run any newer games.

Alright man click Start then click run. Type dxdiag and hit enter. Now click on Save All Information... and save it somewhere you will remember it. Now open it and delete everything besides the System Information and Display Devices sections. Now copy and paste it in this box. For example:
