View Full Version : Ace expansion in gold pack?

Hi, i got the IL-2 Forgotten Battles Gold Pack and it says that it comes with the ace expansion pack. However, when i opened the box up at home it only came with one disk. When i tried to connect to an ace expansion server on ubi.com it said i only had v1.22 and i neded v2.01. Please help me so i dont have to spend $30 more on an expansion pack i supposedly already own.

Download and install the new patch to get version 2.1 Look on the IL2 web site. There are links to the AEP patch there.

You should have gotten two CDs with the Gold pack. The IL2FB and ACE Expansion are separate and should both be included in the box.
The box shows both versions--FB and ACE and states: "This game is packed full of features on 2 CDs. "

If you did not get the ACE expansion with the Gold Pack, you should exchange it for another.

Um, no you're wrong. The Gold pack contains 3 CDs. 2 for Forgotten Battles and a 3rd containing the Aces expansion.

Yeah, it looks like there is only 2 disks in the jewel case, but try to lift the black plastic bottom. It's hinged, and you'll find the third disk (AEP) underneath.

DOH! Thanks so much for mentioning that there's 3 CD's in the Gold Pack. I was wondering why multiple installs continued to show v1.0. The 3rd CD is kinda hidden in the pack - Or I'm just basically blind.
