In a recent post, Bannerman suggested adjusting AGP settings to cure stuttering. Sounds good - can he, or anyone else, explain how I'd go about doing that?

On a similar theme ... I tried another poster's tip about adjusting sound via DXdialog. I turned them down low and it worked fine - except GR then wouldn't let me load my quick-save game. Re-adjusting sound back up to Standard level restored this ability, and still gave performance improvements. Go figure (???).

Any help/advice appreciated - thanks!

You can tinker with them in the BIOS. Press F2 or "delete" key during the very first stages when your computer boots up.

Thanks, Lapioj!

For anyone else who's unsure, like I was, the exact route is:-

1. Go into "Advanced Chipset Features"

2. Then into "AGP Function Settings"

3. Now you're at "AGP Aperture Size" and that's where you change them.

This is how it looked on 'my' computer at any rate.

Good Luck!
