Does the editor run slow for yall guys? I have been trying to create a level but the stuttering has got me down. I mean everything seems as though it is running at around 10-15 FPS. My system specs are as follows.....
Alienware
P4 3.0GHZ
ATI Radeon 9800pro 256mb
1GB ram
SB audigy 2
80GB HD
Now the game runs like a dream so why not the editor?

Ok this is really weird. I loaded one of the maps from the far cry directory and the editor runs smooth but when I creat my own level it runs like crap! The funny thing is that there is nothing but water and it still runs slow. I loaded the volcano level and the editor ran like a charm but when I load a plain 2km map with nothing but water it runs slow! weird.

How do I close all those programs that are running in the background? the only ones I know of are the internet, mcafee ativirus, and the intel Active moniter. I know how to shut off mcafee and the internet but what do I do about that active moniter. And how can see a list of programs running and shut them off as I see fit?
