I copy paste this one out from Philipz's post so it wont get lost there ... again.

Questions that have never been answered:

-This has been posted several times, but never has been responded to: Will there ever be a Linux SA server for Raven Shield ever?

Simple yes or no for start would be good?
And if yes, plz be so kind to give some time schedule.

This question has been responded too, but no, it has not been answered. As the priority now is fixing gameplay and framerate bugs, I wouldn't foresee an SA Linux server anytime soon.

this was going to be released a LONG LONG time ago, but testing took to long then i dont know what happend after that, a post from someone official said it would come out near the end of 2003 or early 2004, now from what you are saying it looks to be mid 2004. i personally dont care about it, cause its far to late to bother running a server let alone a linux server for this game. this should have been released long ago when it was worth it a bit, most players already left the scean being all pi_sed off at the ubi gods. timing is everything, and pi_sing people off is a bad thing too. im still think it needs to be made, but i dont think we care anymore of how long its going to take.

Obviously some people still care and are interested or they wouldn't ask about it.

The community has survived for 9 months without linux servers, i dont think it's going to make much of a difference now if they released them or not. Besides, it would just be one more thing for people to complain about when it crashes

i think ubi will not release a linux-sa because punkbuster works only on windows-sa .. and so its to expansive for ubisoft to make a linux-punkbuster... but if they really will release the linux-sa .. its to late

Whats the use of fixing bugs on a game that loses players all the time because of the lack of Linux server support?

First make the Linux servers, then try to fix the other issues!

Linux servers would probably fix some of the lag issues too. We all know how good Windows is now don't we?

Less whine, more play

Why the hell don't they get http://www.icculus.org/ to do the linux version?
Theyve done mohaa/sh, Call of Duty & America's Army just to name a few.

For pitys sake let them port the 1.41 version & take it from there.

This is what they do best & oviously UBI doesnt.

Any news developing team / Bullettooth about this?

Are we gettin this at this year or should we just move along?

And the poll in the general discussion where linux sa is an option what should be fixed frightens the hell out of me.
