it would alter the balance of the game if you can see three bright green dots wherever the spy is thats why you cant see them as a merc its hard enough to be stealthy all the time in this game without having to worry about the merc seeing you everytime you look in his direction

Both wrong. Because in real life you cant see them. They are in the game to help you locate where your player is in the dark.
