Hi i have an NVIDIA GEForce4 MX 420 (64 mb) on a 512 mb ram 2.4 ghz pentium 4 windows xp. whenever i load the game splinter cell 2, after i choose multiplayer or single player, the game just dissappears. I've searched the faq's and I'm wondering if my system will work, or if there are any drivers/patches i can get to make it work. thanks a lot!

The minium for Splinter Cell PT is a geforce 3 or equivalent (like an ati 8500) geforce 4 MX does not have the required shaders to run the game, sorry mate u have to upgrade your video card.

Well if u have cash to burn and love Nvidia the 5900s are good, else get a ATI 9800 ($300 - $250)which i think are cheaper. If u are on the budget line, get a 9600 dont bother with the geforce 5600 and 5700 they are rubbish for the price you pay, a 9600 is faster and cheaper (i think about $140-$180). If u really dont have the cash i think u can get a geforce 4 ti 4200 for about $90++?

You need atleast a Radeon 9600 for the Directx 9 effects. I recommend the 9800 Pro, they are $200 from www.newegg.com (http://www.newegg.com) and you won't have to upgrade for a LONG time.
