Have you guys tried the patch yet?

just got to this point after loading a previous save on a unpatched install of BG&E (about a hour) and the 3rd robot dropped the 2nd key, i'll up the save game i made after for you guys to try.. i've given the bloke the 2nd key & saved in the pearl room:

God, this is such a joke.

We need to start organizing some class action lawsuits against game companies that release pure garbage just because they know they can patch it later (or not at all) and they still won't get in trouble.

It's *inexusable* for a game to be released in a beta state like this.

Ok, now this is turning into a spam thread with nothing worth reading in it. The only thing I can think of is just to reformat and reinstall. That needs to be done every once in a while anyway. It'll be good for your system.

It's absurd to suggest people do something as drastic and, in this case, utterly pointless as to do something like reformat your hard drive.

The key not dropping for people is nothing more and nothing less than bad scripting on the part of the game's coders. It's not caused by overclocking, or read/write errors, or anything of that sort that even partly shifts responsibility away from the game itself. Some of the other bugs that BG&E on the PC sometimes experiences are caused by those external issues, but not this particular bug.

Having the same issue. I bought the game cause it was cheap and came with good recommendations. I've patched the game and nothing seems to work.

After fighting the 3 robots the game shows the key but it's up at the top of the chute that 3rd robot slides down.

I've looked for save files or patches to fix the issue but it seems that none are still being hosted anywhere. It's pretty stupid that Ubisoft hasn't fixed this issue, the game has been out like 5 years now.
