View Full Version : Lots of Flickering Textures in Distance

Alright, this is a problem that just annoys the hell out of me. When I first played the FarCry demo when it was released months ago, everything ran great. Looked fantastic and played like a dream on my system.

Now, for no reason, all these seems where the textures meet are flickering like crazy. I don't see them when I move, but once I start moving, there are tons of flickering lines and textures off on the mountains of the island or what not. Now, as soon as I finish this post, I'm going to go try and roll-back to the Nvidia 53 drivers instead of the 56's I'm on.

But otherwise, I've done everything I can think of to relieve me of this annoyance. It just makes the game look pretty terrible.

The really odd thing, is that I get the exact same thing in Battlefield: Vietnam. The water touching the beaches and what not just flickers like crazy at the edges. Any spot where one texture/model meets another.

I do have a screenshot, though. It's sort of hard to see in a still shot, but this one does the job because of the enemy in view.

Literally that whole screen... any spot where a texture meets another, flickers.
The best way to see it is on the guy's helmet. His head's peaking through, and in gameplay, it just flickers between the head and the helmet over and over and over. Also, to the very far left, in the middle of the edge, there's a sort of light triangle-ish shaped texture. That's another example of it flickering like crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
