Or you can just enter to win an ATI Radeon 9600XT, by going to- www.pcgamessource.com (http://www.pcgamessource.com) and clicking on the sweepstakes! Great card, and if you win, it's free!!! Tell all your buds too.

You see that guys?! KU_ has the right idea! However, this guy is looking for an nvidia based card. My advice is to wait to buy one. The 6800 series is just being released and the cheap cards of the current FX series aren't good at all. The only FX series cards worth buying are the 5900 and 5950. But the new 6800 series offers great cards for whatever your budget is.

I am a U.S citizen, I'v checked out Zipzoomfly.com it's a good website. I saw the Nvidia fx5900 256mb for 280$, that looked like a good one. About the 6800 series, they're probably the best, but i dont have enough money to get one. By the way, whats the difference between a PNY Geforce 6800 and a BFG Geforce 6800 ? I see that the PNY one is a lot more expensive, why is that ?? If anyone knows about a Geforce 6800 card that is 300$ or less please tell me. And i would also like to know when the 6800 series are going to be released(if they are'nt already). Thx guys, really http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif.

A million thanks man. Ill get that 6800 u just showed me ^^. I chose Nvidia because i always hear people complain about ATI cards, and all the problems they have. And most game boxes say the game is best played using Nvidia cards, and they even have that little movie clip that shows u the Nvidia logo pop up and you here someone whisper "Nvidiah". Thx again for your help http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

OOh yeah, and i wanted to ask a reeeaaaally important question. When i DO get the card do i need to have any speicial equipment (like a new case, or some extra fans) for my computer in order to prevent the card from overheating ???

I have 5900Xt and I think VPS had that one.
If your thinking to buy high-end graphic card then buy 6800. I like it much more then x800.

No, I have the 5900. The 5900XT is a slower clocked version.

Though I heard that Half-Life 2 can be run on a pentium 2 processor, but i dont think It'll be playable http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

That is so true (about upgrades always coming out). But i think they'll reach a limit someday. The human eye can only see so many pixels. Eventually there wont be any diff between graphics cards (that your eyes can distinguish). But until then (if then ever comes) we'll just have to keep upgrading http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Oh yeah and i dont think you'll have any probs running half-life with your current specs ^^.
