From Crater Island? Take the wood trolley by the chipper. That'll bring you straight back to jungle island by the 2 wooden gates.

Talking the stairs and you're back on forest island proper--tram and oar car not far away. Go up, while in the idol and you're at the catwalk. Down takes you to the other tram, but I can't remember which island it takes you to.
