IMHO...What'll kill FC for me unless fixed

I played the demo today and was in awe of the visuals.Beautiful game.I would to have liked to see some critters running around on the island,but no biggie.The thing that I have a big problem with is the ballistics.Here's where Far Cry falls short.On many occasions,I'd be toe to toe with an enemy and empty a clip into his chest,only to have him run and hide then come back for more.Also,when in crouch mode while sneaking up to an opponent who is in searching for you in the folliage,you can not kill him.I was right next to an enemy in the underbrush emptying clip after clip into the guy,blood spraying everywhere,with no apparent dammage.I really hope these things get fixed in the final release,or I'll take a pass.

Were you using the pistol? If you were, aim for the head.

Actually,it happened using the m-16 and machine gun.Besides,at point blank range,ANYTHING you use should take someone down with a couple shots to the chest,or anywhere else for that matter.

This is true. In the single-player, it seems I can kill the baddies with my pistol pretty easy. I really don't have any complaints there.

But with the MP mod, it's very hard to kill guys. Maybe it's just the mod, or the bad framerates you get on the servers.

In MP, the mp5 works for ****. besides not being able to hear if you are actually shooting, you don't know when you are out of ammo, as it's hard to hear. I know it's silenced, but at least let ME hear the damn thing a bit! Anyway, I unloaded a whole clip a a guy close up, but he didn't die. Also, if you use the rocket launcher close range, you don't die. If you really shoot at something a few feet in front of you with that thing, you are toast.

I'm sure the real MP will be much closer to the single player demo in terms of accuracy and such.
