It sounds like we wont be seeing a MP demo release:

"The Far Cry "Research" demo is currently available online and appears as the featured demo on PC Gamer's April issue demo disc, which hits newsstands on March 16. The third and final demo, entitled "Boat," is a Windows XP demo that will release worldwide on March 15. Far Cry will be available for the PC for a suggested retail price of $39.99."

This is from the press release concerning Far Cry's gold status. To me, it doesnt sound like we will be seeing a multiplayer demo before the release of the game.

Nope looks like no MP demo, but hey its not so bad atleast we are getting a new SP demo. I realy think the SP aspect of the game is going to be better than the MP.

Why do you care so much about MP?! I have never enjoyed any MP aspects of solid FPSs. Personally, i think their time is MUCH better spent on the single player campaign than worry about a bunch of "MP whiners." Not trying to flame, i just dont get the interest in MP so many people seen to have.

An MP demo would be better than another SP one yes, but I don't mind having neither to be honest. And in the other thread I mention there is going to be an MP one.

how about instead of a new demo level we get the editor. that'd be more exciting in my book. or how about releasing the game and the editor and the expansion pack. and free baseball caps for everyone. but seriously, the editor. thanks.

I like multiplayer more than single player because there is much more gameplay... aka its more challenging than singleplayer and your opponents are not based on AI but rather I.

Plus going mono on mono with crazy doomsday weapons is sooo fun!!!!
