Hey everybody.

Any WEIRD THINGS happen in your game lately?

Why just last night i was playing on (not with) Penthouse.

We had just cleared out the living room and were watching the football on the telly when i turn round and see a Tango standing behind the main double glass bulletproof doors.

Next thing i know he pulls a grenade and i take my hands off my keyboard and mouse to put my head in my hands at his stupidity at throwing a grenade at a closed door directly in front of him, and got ready to laugh. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

A split second later i uttered a vile curse as the grenade went straight through the closed doors without breaking them and landed in between me and my team-mate! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Although not as humorous, I had a weird experience the other night as well.

I was on one of UBI's COOP servers all by myself. The server was setup to supply AI backup so I was using these guys as extra lifes. It's the refinery map, so I leave my backup near the spawn point and proceed down around the rail cars. I hear shooting in back at the spawn point, and realized that I had the AI back up in "Assault" mode. So I change the mode to "Infiltrate" and about 20 seconds later, MY gun starts to fire in 3-3 round bursts, it stops for about 20 seconds and does it again. I'm not even touching my mouse or keyboard, but my gun is firing. I change the AI mode back to "Assault" and it stops.

Later on in the map, I zoom in on the MP5SD for some sniping and I get zoom lock. I can't fire, I can't unzoom, I can't change weapons, eventually a tango takes me out and everything seemed back to normal.

I never had these kind of problems in the past. SO I think I'm going to do an uninstall and then do the complete 1.0 - 1.53 patch, instead of the incremental patches.

If I were you I would have looked at my computer strangely, smacked the case, stood up, and just walk away wondering what the heck just possessed it!!!

whenever something weird happens you should look at your log file and when all the confusing errors that always happens when the game is turned that, but doesnt crash you, scares you...then send it to ubi developers to do the same to them while they check they email while lounging on hawaian beaches :P

I had the same thing happen to me but on a different map. It was playing the bank map on coop, and I went down to the basement (through the corner office way). I took out some tangos peeking around the corner, until I could only see one tango behind the bullletproof glass in the little office in the basement. He saw me, and threw a frag. I thought it was going to land at his feet, instead it flew right through the bulletproof glass and landed at my feet.

So weird stuff like that does happen. Althought it happened quite a while ago, maybe after the 1.41 patch. It wasn't a recent occurance, as I recall.

yeah me too i've only had frag lock*ver 1.3* once and have been playing since march 03.

The floating gun thing is a regular occurrance for me. I'd say one out of 20 tangos I cap their gun floats about 7'-0" above where they were shot. I only play co-op online, so I see this a lot. My ping is always under 70, so it has nothing to do with a poor connection. I only noticed this since v 1.41.

Ya, I see the floating gun thing all of the time in Co-op. My connection is always about a 30-40 ping. Not a connection problem. I can see the gun, leave the room, come back and it's still there.

I have seen it a few times before first time was during the demo days.. It's due to packetloss. Ur computer doesn't get the packets informing u that the door has been opened so for u it will remain closed all others on the server will see it as open, just ask em next time.

1 in a million that ppl loose that 1 or 2 packets carrying that information.

Usually because when a packet is lost the server will try to retransmit it a few times..

So no cheating or glitching just plain bad luck!
