I had a 5900 128mb and flashed it to a 5950ultra. The 9800 Pro is better than both.

Always had Nvidia cards until this week.
Thought I'd give ATI a try.

The 9800 is the better card as the 5900 XT is a SLIGHTLY cut down 5900 with slower memory.

The 9800 Pro is the real deal.

Both are about the same price now, about â£150, so go with the 9800 if possible but don't pass up the 5900XT if you get a a real good deal on it either. I would get the 5900XT if it was say 30-40 quid cheaper as theres not THAT much differnce

i use to be an Nvidea guy,
had Geforce 2,3 and 4

one day i installed a 98 pro and realized how much i was missing.

i could see more detailed on the land scape as more colors on the terrain.

and thats besides the fact that FPS increased so much it was scary.

Ive actually got a Leadtek FX5900xt at the mo which I was using for a few weeks with my old system. It certainly did a good job but im just compl, eteing building a new system and I thought I might try the PRO for a change. It certainly seems to have more room for the quality settings. Anyhow does anyone in the UK wanna by my hardly used FX5900xt ?? say 110 pounds and I will pay post ?? I live in Bristol. Think Im gonna order the Evesham 9800 Pro...

cheers
