I can't see anything from mavs cam. TVM just doesm't display anything. It happens in a10 training mission with mavs and during regular missions. What's wrong?

9100 and Cats 3.7

Don't tell me to upgrade to 3.9 because with 3.9 planes just disappear.

I have the same problem with R8500 and catalyst3.6,3.8,3.9.
For me camera only works with Catalyst 3.7, but performance is very low, my friend have gf2ti and XP1900+ and game works fine, and smooth.

sorry for bad english

CrazyAggie05,

I think I remember that you had posted your solution in another thread, but I might have something to add to help with your no Mav TV in campaign mode. I found that with my 64MB Radeon 8500, the highest resolution that my TV display works in is 1280X1024 (haven't tried anything lower of course). But wait, there's more, that is just the first detail. If you go directly to campaign mode when you first start the game, the TV display does work, if you go there after selecting the quick mission, it will not work, and still won't work if you go back to the quick mission again. The only way I have found to get it to work in campaign mode is to exit the game and restart it, this time going directly to the campaign...(works every time). Also, if I set the resolution to anything higher than 1280X1024, the TV display does not work, when it is reset to 1280X1024, the problem is still there until I exit the game and restart. I am running Cat 3.7 and have everything on the D3D tab set to default values, I tried your AF and AA settings and they didn't really have any effect.

To the devs,

I know that our Radeon 8500 64MB cards aren't the hottest things on the planet, but we ought to be able to use the full capabilities of our Mavericks in a higher resolution than 1280X1024 (I have a 21" monitor for cryin' out loud, that resolution is kind of a waste of such a big screen) /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif .
Say what you will about my hardware, and that of others, but, to me, this having to restart the game to get that TV display to work again does seem to suggest a program glitch. I hope that you will pass this info on to whoever it is that will be developing a patch for this game. I have spent the last two days of my free time just figuring out what will make this game happy. I'll let UBI know where they can mail my paycheck...Hey, c'mon, just kidding guys, but I can definitely understand the frustration of many of the people who say that the game is incomplete and that we're all beta-testing it for UBI, it kinda looks that way to me too.

My system specs:

Pentium 4 2.0GHz
Abit TH7II-R with Intel 850Chipset
512MB RAMBUS DRAM
Windows XP Pro (Upgraded to SP1)
Radeon 8500 64MB with Cat 3.7
SoundBlaster Live! Platinum 5.1
DirectX 8.1 (Radeon 8500 does not fully support anything higher, not sure how much of a problem that would be for anyone who has the same card and running 9.0)

Oh...another thing I didn't know yet as of my first post on this thread: I had removed the clouds from the A-10 quick mission to get good frame rates. After discovering the screen resolution glitch and using my workaround, it worked so great (30-50fps) that I decided to try the Su-25, that mission still had clouds in it, but...guess what...frame rates stayed up around 30-50, tried other planes (after exiting and restarting each time, of course) still 30-50 with clouds. Upped texture quality to high and restarted, still have good Mav TV display, gorgeous aircraft textures, still no noticeable fps drop. Looks like, for me anyway, 1280X1024 screen resolution is the magic number. Water quality changes above Low still turn it into a slide show though, I guess us 8500 guys are SOL on that. In short, MAJOR PERFORMANCE INCREASE when 1280X1024 is selected. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
