Hello,

Will there be a Linux Client of Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield?


If there are no plans for a Linux client version, can you port the game to linux?

I really would like to play that game under Linux and
it shouldn't IMHO difficult to port that game to Linux because the Unreal engine (UR2003) the game is based on is allready ported to Linux.

I expect it will ship with linux capabilities but hey, who knows /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif If UT2k3 has it i would bet RS3 will too.

I would really look forward to a linux client.

As i do not have windows installed for quite a time i would really appreciae it! I was a big fan of Rainbow Six/Rogue Spear - but sadly both do not run with wine.

(win2000 still rocks but someday they'll cut off support as just happened to nt4)

i would love a linux client, but if they don't provide there is always SAS:IntoTheLionsDen for UT2k3/4.

Yes, but you can also use OpenGL in UT2k3, which you can't in Raven Shield.



In Raven Shield you can only use DirectX, and last I knew, you can't use DirectX when you run Linux.


Wait...this topic is like, a year old. I just noticed as I reread all the posts and one said "it will ship".
