Since you play Lo-mac, and have a Cougar, I figured who better to answer this question! I understand Lo-mac will have mouse look similar to Flanker and (more closely?) Il2. I just got an X45 and its got one of those great mini joysticks on the throttle (like the cougar), but I havn't tried Il2 with it yet. Will we be able to use the "mini" joystick to smoothly look around as a replacement for the mouse? By smoothly, I mean NOT like the static, 4-way feel of normal hat switches used for panning.

I believe so. I have not tried it. I'll look into it.
I am looking forward to using my new TrackIR gear with Lock On.
Cheers,

oh yeah.... Track-IR rocks.
it is difficult in the beginning, but once you get used to it, it gives you a cutting edge in IL2 FB full real games. only bad thing about it is, you dont get a free live time neck massuese with it... which you will need if u play as long as me. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

What is Track IR? I tried diggin up some searches, but some where Chinese or Japanese others was Spanish, none which I understand.
Can anybody walk this gear over for me?
Board didn't allow it, so call me Sweeper.

Sweeperone - have a look here http://games.naturalpoint.com/
The moving banner graphic at the top of the page speaks a thousand words. It does what it says on the tin.
Essentially it's an infra red motion tracker that follows a reflector on you microphone boom/headset/glasses/cap and moves your in-game view according to where you're looking.
Obviously, it's highly customisable and only minor motions are required to check your six (so you're always looking at the screen!).
It's absolutely awesome when properly configured.

Thanks dude, but skip the final part of my nick, shorten it to Sweeper.
Really good info, hmmm Looks like this is something I could use, you see, I use the viewhat for this, with the track IR it would be easier for me to shoot off boresight.
Board didn't allow it, so call me Sweeper.

Sorry, Sweeper!
Yup, and in addition to giving you natural view control it'd free your hat up for another four or eight functions. I can't wait to try this with a HMS system.
