Hehe this isnt CS :P
But it would be nice of course ot have it, but they wont add more content to the game, only fix bugs. Hopefully they will release an SDK so the public can make more weapons etc.

Rob444,
He is talking about the newest expansion pack like Athena Sword. It could very well add new guns like AS did. It will have to do more than that to get me to buy it though. I wasn't very impressed with AS but perhaps if the bugs are fixed with CTE I'd be more inclined to play it.

when or if the sdk comes out there are alot of pistol modelers out there with glocks. I made up a glock in 3dsm and would enjoy porting it to rvs.
Then again you are probably correct, CH might have a glock.

Yeah im sure ive seen a glock with a 3 round burst in numerous films, not just counterstrike http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I always thought it was a G18 tho...
Glocks are used a lot because theyre lighter than most alternatives, are accurate and have low recoil, on the other hand they have a rep for not being very durable for the millitary. Day glow is probably the best guy to answer this.

Glocks are not that modern.
Glocks will not fall apart, ultra rugged tools.
Glocks are accurate and reliable.
This model has 4 brothers, pistol models, once installed, you must activate it as a mod, like AS.
In respect to UBI soft, these models are waiting and getting improoved.
But as many inhere agree with me, waiting for SDK doesn't make us happy, so I'm thinking about a deadline. I think I have the entire community to back me up in giving the red light for a release...

I guess if its true that glocks can fire full auto then that would be an advantage too

I think the only reason the Glock in CS doesn't fire full auto is balance. I can't find anything to suggest that it has burst fire, unlike the berreta in AS.

i think the Glock 17 model is the 1 with 3-round burst and the Glock 18 model is the 1 with full-auto. not entirely sure, tho. the main advantage Glocks give to military and law enforcement agencies is that they r made of plastic and can b taken thru metal detectors without being detected. Glocks r popular with air marshals because of this.

From a LE point of view Glocks are good. They are relatively inexpensive and very reliable. Also the safe action has no external safeties and are easy to train.

Ok, the moronic comments have just gone on too long.
1) There is only one full auto Glock - the 18. It does not have a three-round burst. Any statements to the contrary simply show that the person doesn't have any real familiarity with weapons.
2) Glocks are extremely durable and will not melt in the sun, even in Arizona.
3) Glocks do not fall apart because they are plastic. You can park a car on top of them and they will still work. I know one person who actually dropped a Glock out of a helicopter at 1,500 feet onto concrete. It broke off the rear sight but the gun still worked flawlessly.
4) The frame (the part where you hold it -- for all those who are woefully uninformed) is made of plastic. The rest is made of steel. It is quite a tough form of plastic.
5) Glocks will be detected by any metal detector. That's because they contain several ounces of steel. If you have seen otherwise in a movie then I suggest you start living in the real world, and recognize that movies are fiction. (That means they aren't any more real than the computer games you play.)
6) "Some glock models DO have 3 round burst. Im sure of it." This statement is nothing but hilarious.
7) "I dont know much about glocks. Can some one tell me why these guns are so great? What are their advantages and what are their disadvantages?"
They have a very simple structure with relatively few parts. Easy to clean and disassemble/reassemble.
Because of their simple construction they also have very high reliability. That is, they will function flawlessly even after they have been buried in mud, frozen in ice, beat up and banged around, etc.
They are extremely durable. I know of one that fired 250,000 recorded rounds and was still in good shape.
They are currently the most popular brand of pistol on the market so it is easy to find parts and service.
They are lighter than a lot of other guns. While there is some reduction in recoil because the plastic frame tends to soak up some of the shock, it is not a significant amount. They have about the same recoil as any other similar weapon.
They have the "safe action" type trigger which makes them safer to handle than some other weapons.
8) "I have question, If the slide etc (and the bullets for teebus' sake ) are made of metal why do directors in films eg die hard 2 say they can go straight through a metal detector?"
Same reason they say that someone can hang on to the wing of a 747 while it is taking off or that Spiderman can do a trapeze act with skyscrapers, etc. It's a MOVIE. That's different from REALITY. That may be a hard concept to grasp, but work on it, please.
9) The recoil on Glocks is not substantially different than with other guns. Recoil depends on the caliber (you know, size of the bullet), gun weight, barrel length, gun configuration, etc. Glocks come in many different calibers, sizes and weights so recoil will vary accordingly.
10) All of you -- please get some education and instruction from well-trained firearm instructors before you pick up any real weapons. Until then, if you see a gun, just leave it alone and call an adult who knows something about weapons.
11) The guy who created the Glock for the game did a good job. Kudos.

well erm w97, i will admit i know NOTHING about glocks purely because i cant stand the things, they are ugly, and IMO overated. My fav gun ever has to be the colt 1911, H&K are my favourite gun company but the colt 1911 is just so brilliant, it beats ANY gun released these days. Offer me a glock 18 or a 1911, ill take the 1911. Offer ma a Mk23 ill take the 1911, get the picture????
In the off topic there is a post here (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=756105611&m=461108654) about a kid that wants to buy a gun. Read how many people **** off glocks. Teebus's is the best "I guess I only still have my G17 because it is the first pistol I ever used, and is kind of like a lucky charm (sad, I know)." If there so good why do they get ****ged off so much???

Kudos.

Quite you.

Terrorist: But NO, you are planing on disguising yourself as one of us....
Sam:disguise??

Sam: DAMN IT!
"well erm w97, i will admit i know NOTHING about glocks purely because i cant stand the things, they are ugly, and IMO overated."
If you openly admit that you know NOTHING about Glocks then your opinion that they are overrated is worth what, exactly?
"My fav gun ever has to be the colt 1911, H&K are my favourite gun company but the colt 1911 is just so brilliant, it beats ANY gun released these days. Offer me a glock 18 or a 1911, ill take the 1911. Offer ma a Mk23 ill take the 1911, get the picture????"
I get the picture that your first statement above was correct. Therefore, I wonder how valid your second paragraph might be. And you aren't likely to be able to buy the 18 in the US any time soon, so I don't think anyone will be offering you one.
Do you actually have any experience with any of these or are you just talking about what you have read in comic books?
"In the off topic there is a post here about a kid that wants to buy a gun. Read how many people **** off glocks. Teebus's is the best "I guess I only still have my G17 because it is the first pistol I ever used, and is kind of like a lucky charm (sad, I know)." If there so good why do they get ****ged off so much???"
I don't know. Maybe the same reason that people like you sound off on Glocks when they admit that they really don't have a clue? Maybe the most common factor is just plain old "don't-have-a-clue" like you stated above. And then, some people just don't like the way they look. They are functional, not especially pretty. There are all kinds of reasons that people have opinions that don't really have anything to do with reality.

i know they are practical and easy to use and all that, the only problem is that 9mm guns dont really appeal to me now, i like the power and the reputation of the 1911. Sadly i will never own one as i live in the UK http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

OK, but it just didn't look all that different than the many other statements that (if you know anything at all about weapons) were so obviously misinformed. If I missed a smiley, please excuse.

And you obviously don't even know enough about them to know that there are models made in the same caliber as the 1911 (which, itself can be had in various calibers). 9MM, .380, 10MM, .40S&W, .45ACP, .45GAP, etc.
Also, the polymer is not made from paper. You are the first person I ever heard come up with that one. It is a gun, not origami.

That explains a lot. But you can still get far better information than what was posted here if you just go to http://www.glock.com As you will note from the Glock site, there are big and little models in the same caliber as the classic 1911.

Never knew i had to specify a calibre m8 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif If i must i like the series 80 in .45ACP(i think i got the right one).
Also as i have not alot of interest in the glock, i thought you could only buy them in their 9mm parabellium form or however its spelt.
As for being in the UK, i know it means i cant own a gun, but you would be surprised how much i know about guns.

I have owned a Berreta 92FS and my friend owned a Glock 19...the Glock next to the 92 was a jamming piece. I put 2500 rounds through my 92 with zero jams. His Glock jammed about every second clip. I do realize that does not show the over all quality of Glocks nor does it mean they will all jam. Having shot many pistols to me nothing can replace the feel of a "steel gun." The only semi plastic gun I like is the USP Compact in .40 S&W that my friend owns.
Don't bypass the filter. Thanks.

If you didn't know that glocks were available in a caliber other than 9mm I doubt anyone would be very suprised by your L33T firearm knowledge.
Glocks are great guns but I too prefer the 1911. I like the single action trigger and the slim profile of the 1911. I also like the feel of an all steel gun. Thank you w97 for sharing the knowledge.

personally i prefer the p228, but i dont like the grips on the p228 when it was first released, they made the gun look cheap and IMO were horrible to hold.

Something to consider about the 1911 is that they are not that accurate out of the box.
Most glocks will put a 2-3 group at 25 yards off a bench using mi range ammo. But a 1911 will only do 5-6. Now if you have some major bank you can get them shooting 1/2". But come one why pay $2,000 to do something a $6-800 gun will do out of the box.
Now the new S&W 1911s and the Sig 1911s are really nice. But the Sig is $1,077 and don't seem to have anything new. The 1911 has been around forever. There's not a lot left to do to them.
If you want a new 1911 get the S&W, put a match barrel in it. A new finish,(if silver isn't your thing) new sights if you have a favorite kind and a case of Black hills ammo and go to town When youre happy with the grouping, and BH ammo will give you some sweet groups, put some JHPs in it and find a comfy holster and enjoy.
Other wise I would go with either a H&K MK23, (major bling for one though ) or a Glock 35. Get as much trigger time as I could and carry it when ever I could to get used to the weapon.
Remeber the gun doesn't make the warrior. A better shooter will own you with a .22lr if you can't shoot well. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

well, i never fired a pistol but i have took down a few clays with a over under remington shotgun at round 200 yards in high wind. Also i was using low velocity ammo. And if i can hit a target in the middle with a BB gun at 25 metres then i must be an ok shot http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
