Im looking into getting a Dedicated Server and was wondering if anyone knew any of the requirements for one...
P4-2.4 GHz (533 MHz FSB)
1024 MB DDR RAM
40 GB 7200 RPM hard drive
Would that be enough to run an 8 man T Hunt Dedicated Server? Also, How much monthly bandwidth could I except the game to take up? Would it be possible to run a lower end game also on this box, such as Q2 or HL?

are you looking at renting one or buying this and running it at your home and off of a residential line?

you want to own the box and send it somewhere to be hooked into a good line? or just rent the box? if you want to rent the whole box i would suggest vsk. good boxes, good pings, but they dont take you by the hand and help a whole lot, in other words, you better know what your doing. if you just want to run a rvs, go to www.thegameserver.com (http://www.thegameserver.com) and see if he has any windows boxes available, i just gave up my rvs server with him cause we got a whole box, but service, pings and all that are really good with them.
I run a Dedicated 8 man coop TH server
and i run it on a
P4 1.6 Northwood
512 Mb ddr
30Gb 7200rpm disk
CPU load is usualy at about 80% with 8 ppl playing
this server works perfectly without any problem.

Fast-Gaming.com rents the most RVS servers on the net. We have over 125 gaming customers and probably the fastest support.
Our servers are all Dual Xeon cpu's on a OC192 connection.
All of our server technicians are A+,MCSE or RHCE techs too!

TheClericBanton,
That is more than enough to run any RvS server. And yes, you can host another low end game on that box too. As for data traffic, I would say about 4kbyte/sec per player, so a 10-player Team survival server would take up about 140 mbyte/hour.
Kbee1,
Well, as far as I know, 4kbyte/sec per player, so a 128kbits line is certainly not enough, 384kbits is okay but more is better.
